Dr Marten’s digital boots

A welcome blast from the past via Francis Anderson, another member of the WordPress Marketing Bloggers Network.

He highlights Dr Marten’s attempts to create a new iconic boot design for the 21st century.

As Dr Marten’s say: “Choose your canvas: the 8-hole or the 14-hole boot. Use pens, use paint, use whatever. Use your imagination.”

Like Francis, I have fond memories of DMs from my youth.

They crossed cultural boundaries. Whatever tribe you chose, or if you simply attempted to do your own thing, DMs were the boot of choice.

I’m thinking no more pink DMs though…
