One of my favourite childhood memories is sitting with my parents and sister and the four of us laughing until we cried at Young Frankenstein.

The film succeeds because of the performances of all the leading characters, not least Peter Boyle as the monster.

What better way to pay tribute to Peter, who has found more recent success as the cantankerous dad in Everybody Loves Raymond, than to look back at his monster Putting on the Ritz.

This clip is still one of my favourite in any movie.
