To have one sitting Prime Minister interviewed by police about allegations of financial wrong-doing is unfortunate.

To have a second interviewed about allegations of financial wrong-doing smacks of a lot more than carelessness.

The Labour Government’s credibility has been seriously damaged by this succession of allegations.

On both occasions Labour has been struck by a malaise that seems to infect society as a whole – no-one is willing to accept responsibility.

We’ve already witnessed plenty of squirming and deflecting of blame and in this latest debacle I fully expect to see an awful lot more before the truth (sic) finally emerges.

It will be interesting to see exactly where the buck does stop with this latest inquiry.
