You’ve bought their famous underpants.

You’ve tried their equally legendary prawn sandwiches.

Now you can buy their antivirus software.

Retail giant Marks & Spencer has announced plans to start selling a range of software products after linking up with Formjet.

The M&S range will include internet security software, an office suite, antivirus software, a greetings card maker and driving test software. Formjet, which already produce own brand software for Tesco and Woolworths, will provide M&S customers with technical support.

Industry analysts do not expect the move to concern the software market’s major players or the principal resellers too much at the moment. But it does certainly point to the healthier state the High Street favourite is now in after so many years in the doldrums.
