Excellent news from Simon Berry, the man who has set up the Facebook group calling on Coca-Cola to use their distributions channels to get basic medical aid to developing countries.
The company’s Global Director for Stakeholder Relations has suggested a “chat” with Simon regarding the idea.
No promises, no bold pledges. But that was never likely.
A foot in the door is a fantastic achievement, however, and it will interesting to see what happens now that this impressive line of communication has been established.
The Facebook group has attracted 375 members (and growing) in a little under a week and clearly some of those who have signed up have used their own network to help generate publicity and ultimately attract Coca-Cola’s attention.
No-one knows where this will finally lead, but it will be interesting to find out.
