Next week sees a big debate in Birmingham about the digital age and what it all means.
Taking place at the ICC, The Big Debate – Digital Revolution: More Power or More Powerless? – is arranged as part of the city’s New Generation Arts Festival.
The Birmingham Post is using its blogs to help generate some pre-debate debating on what exactly the digital revolution is (and isn’t) doing for us.
Contributions so far include a piece by Paul Bradshaw on why human contact is still essential in a digital age. Whilst the Digital Is Dangerous duo have made their own unique contribution to the debate on the Post’s blogs.
There are plans for more posts in the next few days leading up to the debate and hopefully there will be plenty more food for thought.
But with six links to six different sites or articles in one short blog post, maybe I’ve just played into the hands of all those who claim we’ve already reached information overload thanks to the digital revolution?
